Global Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Industry to Reach $280 Billion

BPO Industry Growth

According to new research from Global Industry Analysts, Inc., the global Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry is to reach $280 billion by 2017.

Drivers of the expected growth include a focus on cost cutting in non-core operations, a shortage of skilled workers, and strategic initiatives aimed at increasing shareholder value while adding agility to the organizations.

Finance and Accounting outsourcing is expected to be the fastest growing segment in the outsourcing space, but real estate and property management, IT, medical and banking are also expected to increase outsourcing.

The report also names the major players in the space, such as Accenture, ACS, CSC, HP, Tata and others (click here for our recent listing of the 10 Largest BPO Companies).
